Default Those with RMM Mufflers.

Planning on removing the resonators on my 98 GS400...

question is, should i remove just the 2 resonators before the mufflers? or all 3 resonators? (the middle one and the 2 before the mufflers)

i want a nice growl but i fear the rasp of rice. what do yall recommend?

I had all three resonators deleted with L-Tuned mufflers and it sounded great! Either way, it won't sound ricey.

This is what I have and it sounds raspy and pops at the higher rpms. The car is too loud and sounds like a mustang now. I must get a couple small resonators put in soon. =T

Yeah, it is loud. I now have the catback off of an '01 GS430 and the mufflers off of an '05 GS300 since it was too loud for me.

I have the two just before the mufflers removed and I love the sound. Try it that way and I'm pretty sure you'll like it. It gives the car a deeper growl, no real drone, and sounds really good when you get on it. Give it a shot and if it's not enough you could always go the one step further and eliminate the 3rd and try that. If you don't like it you can always have it welded back on.

i have the RMM but on a gs300 and it sound like factory til you hit on it then oh boy!!!
but i notice that with no resonator unless your really paying attention its not that bad but also are cars have a stuff load of damping so you may not heard it that loud but other out side most diffident hear it

Vince, just go with an electronic cutout. You can have the car loud when you want, and quiet when you want as well with the flick of a switch.
