Went from Lexus GS to Vintage Honda
So a few months ago I sold my 03 GS430. The idea originally was to put a little more money on my house down payment, but it turned out I didn't need it. So I was without a car for a about 2 months. Sold the GS real cheap. $5K. Parted out some of the things like rims, CF UGO Spoiler and such. Now I got the house, the garage, and I picked up my new daily driver. It's an old 92, but that is when Honda Motor Company used to make good cars. I get a little over 25 MPG too. Best I could do in my GS430 was 21 MPG, but averaged more like 19/20.
Here is my old GS430 that I sold.
It was as a good car, but my heart was always with the VTEC. I had to sell my first one back in 2006 when my son started school, but I never wanted to sell it in the first pace. I always said I'd buy another one if given the opportunity. I kind of like my old White color better, but this Black one isn't all bad. It still has a lot of work to be done especially since it is 19 years old (Has only 48K miles on it though), but I'm going to enjoy building this new project. Let me tell you. Driving a manual car is like riding a bike. You never forget and its as fun as it always was.
Don't mind the crooked exhaust tips. I just swapped out the Titanium exhaust for this one and because of the special fabricated straight pipes things didn't quite line up perfectly. Going to have to work on that later when I have time.
Here is my old White one that I never fully got to finish building.
