On the last publication of Automobile magazine they say that toyota wants to crank up its performance image to tie in with its formula 1 race program.. they talk about a sport edition of the LS430 due next summer, LS500 with a 360hp V8 engine, also they MIGHT consider building a production version of the FSX concept car.. I wonder if they would come out with a GS500 version also, because it says they want the LS to compete/beat the S500 and BMW 745i, But hey we would still need a M5 fighter!!

That'll be awesome but with 360hp, it can outrun the stock 5-series, or S500 but not the M nor the AMG versions.
The next LS will definitely grow bigger. Although fairly roomy for its size, people like that extra "leg" room and trunk space for $60K luxury car. BMW is coming out with the 745Li. Mercedes doesn't need a stretch version of their already long S-class. The new Audi A8 is longer than the previous A8L.
Hopefully, we'll get some hint from Lexus at the Paris Autoshow this month.

As far as the S-class - it comes in 'regular' or 'long wheelbase' versions today.
