98 GS400 *Price Check Please*
I am looking at a 98 GS400, Silver with black interior. Car has 138k on it, stock 16's and no wing.
It does have the navi system though, although I am sure it is super outdated.
The owner can not verify a timing belt/waterpump change so I will have to add that to the top since I am not sure it has been done.
What is a good price for this car since the gas prices are a bit ridiculous now.
It also needs new tires.

Thanks guys.
He is asking 5k for the car. I have not seen the car yet.
I was thinking about offering 4k for the car, which is low but it is a 98 with 138k. Plus I have to spend more then 1k on timing belt, waterpump, tensioners, motormounts, and tires. I do like the silver with black though.

Even if I have to put $1200-$1500 into within the first month.
The guy who is selling said he stopped driving it due to the high gas prices and bought a compact car. My reasoning is that he is probably no longer insuring it and just wants to dump it.
Either way I agree 5k is not a bad price. I remember buying a 99 gs400 back in 02 for 24k. Prices have come down a lot since then, and those cars still drive about the same with the higher mileage. Can't beat a lexus.
