Default Hello. I am buying a GS tomorrow. Please help!

Hello all GS owners.

I finally decided to buy a GS300 (instead of RX).

I need some help. One lexus dealer here is asking about $35000 for a 2001 GS3 w/25000 miles on it (no nav, no Mark Levinson) and the other dealer is asking $30000 for a 2000 GS3 w/45,000 miles (certified). Do you guys think these prices are reasonable??? They both seem a little high to me.
What would be a reasonable price for either of the cars???

Also, is it true that since it is early of the month and the dealers won't try to negotiate much??

Thanks in advance!!

Exclamation please do more hw....

the beg month rule does apply..

BUT, do not buy the 01gs3..wayyyy too much $$$...brand new 02gs3, premium pkg is only ~$38k+fees..

go to :

www.kbb.com

www.carsdirect.com

both give good guidelines...

www.autotrader.com has good buys...

you are in scal, one of the best places in the us for best deal...hate to see you get "screwed"....btw, i worked at a dealership before...so TRUST me....

thanks for the input.

do you think it is best to buy at the end of a month??
average asking prices on both 99 GS and 98 GSs are also pretty stiff.

Yeah, don't do it... Wait and shop around. With that kind of picing you can easily just get a brand new one with 7 miles on it, of a few grand more.

it all depends..most time dealers want premium pricing, cpo or not...but then i have seen great deals on cpo cars...again, patience and research will pay-off

now that sounds more reasonable...

try:

www.edmunds.com (for links to car loans)

or www.peoplefirst.com

i think they offer private transaction loans

Just about every bank does used car loan even on private sellers. They just make sure that the car is worth what the guy or girl is asking. Thats what I did.....and I couldn't be happier.
