then start the engine (do not drive the car) with radiator cap off to circulate coolant and fill the radiator till all the air pockets are gone. Make sure to use toyota "red" 50/50 coolant if possible. Make sure to use new radiator cap if needed (do not use made in china). Check hose, might be a good time to replace them as well. Fill the reservoir to full. Close everything, make sure everything is tight and no leaks, then you're done. Good luck.

Sometimes if you can park on a slight incline (nose up) it will help raise the air pockets up to the radiator faster. And since the gs does have a liquid cooled (preheated rather) throttle body, there are lines above the height of the radiator cap. And air pushes to the top of the system, so recheck your radiator level for the first few days after the swap and keep topping it off, letting it idle some with the cap off.
Pretty easy task on the gs as there is plenty of room between the motor and the radiator to work.

Yep. It pumps around and back to the pan, kinda like the oil in the motor does. So it will work it's own air pockets out, but defiantly need to replace the atf lost from pulling the rad. Just run it and check the tranny dip stick as well for the first couple days and top off as needed.
