The Fusa Knot is a tassel that originated from the traditional Danjiri festival in Osaka. The tassel's design was originally a charm that decorated the helmets of soldiers in ancient Japan and is a form of 'good luck' charm. It is more specifically a religious (specifically Shinto) symbol of abundant harvest (as used in the Danjiri Matsuri). It is likely a derivation of the buddhist 'mystic knot', which, having no end, symbolizes the infinite wisdom of buddha. Here you can see the Fusa's under the lantern on the side of the Danjiri cart (the tsuna is barely visable in this pic:
likely doesn't mean that it is. The Fusa is a good luck charm. I'll ask you this, do you have any other fusa's or knots hanging from your doorway, your house, your walls? Just wondering

I put my Fusa and Tsuna on not for the meaning, but for looks. Hate on me all you want.
Fusa is a symbol of good fortune and Tsuna is a symbol of protection.
Here are the comparisons, I might even be getting silver or burgandy.
I like the pendant, so i added that. If JP sold one id get it too!

who's hating... and why are you so quick to use that word? If it brings you good luck and you like the looks...power to you. Nobody is hating...I'm making my fusa with extension cords from Home Depot to go with my Home Depot lip. gonna go to the interior section and look for curtains too...might do custom blinds.

JP sells more FUSAs and Tsunas to North America than it does in Japan and more cars rock the Fusas and Tsunas in North America than in Japan. Junction Produce is so smart on their marketing. They sell game chairs, oil cans, slippers....the guy is a genius! The only cars I see rocking these in the VIP mags and VIP websites in Japan are the cars rocking Junction Produce products, like the bodykits and what not. I'm not sure if its because they are hating on him or not...that would be a good question I'd like to ask someone in the VIP scene in Japan. Junction Produce even markets their own Soda Machine dispensers....well its just a regular soda machine with Junction Produce ad wrap on it...
