Thanks for sharing this DIY. Great job by the way!! Only thing I would change (if it was me and due to my obsessive nature) is I would use a different type of foam matting for better contour or really take my time to make sure the thickness is close to OEM and consistent all the way. I don't think I can handle seeing the lines on the sides or inconsistent thickness. But that's just me.

You should also note that this isn't a leather cover; its vinyl. If vinyl isn't cured/treated properly, over time -- shorter amount of time -- it will end up smelling real bad and degrade for lack of a better word than the lexus leather.
Looks great though. I did mine in microsuede and leather sides. Sun + peoples arms = redo soon.
Direct from the auction:
Auction is for NEW ARMREST Cover made from expensive automotive vinyl, (see picture we have this type cover installed on the lexus armrest) you will RECOVER your LID/ARMREST.

Thanks for the comments guys! I now understand that maybe it isn't real leather and maybe I did use a tad too much foam. But I wanted that plush feel and that's exactly what I got. I'm going to redo it just because it fairly easy to do. Once I even the foam out and re-stretch the cover, it should look great. One thing everyone has to keep in mind is that although it may not be everyones cup of tea to go the route I went, it is a finacially sound solution for cancer ridden armrest and with the sub $40 price tag, I can't really complain. Again, I'm a noob and i'm trying to learn how to take care of my car with whatever limited knowledge I have. I was just trying to contribute to the community, that's all.

That's vinyl not leather. I bought the same one. It was cut too short to wrap around to be stapled and had the crease were the seller folded it. I sent a pic to the seller and he said he could install it for me and that it was ok to be cut too short, I shipped it back and found a real leather one on Ebay for a few bucks more. If anyone else does one, you can leave the factory leather on. I just bought some 1/4" staples (I already had a T50 staple gun) and went over the factory cover. The real leather ones on ebay will not have the crease in them when you get them.
