Lowering 98 GS300 with DF210
Ive had my springs for over a month and I couldnt get a tech i know to install them so I worked out taking it to a buddy's place and doing droping it ourselves (hes done springs on a Civic SIR and his Eclipes GSX so has some experience) becuase i didnt want to pay the $500 shop rate.
I tried to follow the DIY instructions on CL but we could not budge the bolt that attaches the shock to the front shock lower bracket so we ended up taking out the out the front stabilizer link bolt out of the lower shock bracket and taking out the back bolt on the lower shock bracket and sliding the shock between the control arm its attached to (this took about 2 hours to figure out and take apart)
Once we got the DF210 spring mounted to the shock, putting the assembly back together and lining up the top strut mounts with the lower shock bracket to the control arm was a pain but not as bad as putting the back bolt back in which is about 1/2 inch long into the lower control arm. This took us about 4 hours of attempts.
Thankfully the driver side was quicker, still a hassel. So right now the car is sitting with the front springs on but the passanger side back bolt for the lower shock bracket is not on, I didnt want to drive it so I left it about 1 hour from home (i was to affraid to drive it with that bolt missing)
So to conclude after about 11 hours of work, we were able to completly install 1 spring and about 90% of another(because missing the lower strut bracket back bolt.
Hopefully the rears are going to be much easier, but wont know until after work.
thanks for reading, hope you have an easier time then me.

We to finish the work yesterday, found my car at my boys place with the springs on. Rides very close to factory, little stiffer which is what the car needed and the ride height is great for Ottawa roads.
Ill post pics after work.

11 hours wow, Took my buddy and I about 3 hours to complete the job. Im still using the stock shocks, eventually I will change them out to either Beilsteins or KYB's when the time is right. I noticed that the car is a little bouncy with the DF210s but gave the car a better looking stance.

Not really a good pic of the ride height, I just walked in the house from school. Ill take a few shots of her in the morning and make it up to you guys. BTW she is still under destruction next will be a paint job and already have the wheels.

The DF210s on stock struts is a little bouncy comparison to stock, it will give the car the stance you want. I dont really have any complaints, the ride feels very similar to a sports car.
