The new ones are actually easier to clean if you can believe that. Since the spoke has no indentation on it.

I have both sets and I like them equally if you can believe that (the 2003 chrome style for the summer and the older style for the snows).

FYI the lugnuts for the 2003 rims are longer than the ones for the 2002 rims.

Oh, and they look like the stock Maxima GLE rims (not the cheapy GXE ones) - which I think are nice too!

Yeah it looks really good. I'd like to see it in person and in chrome. I have the 2002 Chrome 17's on my 2002 GS430.. I think it might look better with some chrome 17'' 2003's

the old stock 17s, in silver. the new 17s almost look like the 16 platinum edition rims. 17s are fine as far as size. with a drop of course. im sick of hearing they look to small. the gs isnt that big of a car compared to the bigger bmws which come with bigger rims stock. i like the stock look personally, less flashy, silver also is less flashy. but whatever floats your boat. just let it be known, 17s are the perfect size. looks, feel, overall. as long as you got a drop, GSs looks real clean stock!

I like the 2003's mainly becasue I have them and there are not a lot of them on the road. Like to be different. Actually, how can you go wrong, it's a GS430 after all!

I've seen the 7-spoke and I think they look very nice! I do like the old 17's as well -- they're more aggressive. I voted for the 7-spokes because of the newness factor

Point taken. But at the time I started the thread the only pics available were in the online brochure which is in PDF (Adobe Acrobat) format so I couldn't link directly to the pics to show them. That's why my first post had links to the pages from the brochure which had pics of the rims. We should already know what the 98-02 17" GS wheels look like. Also notice that you replied to the thread when I started it

those are my favorite.

both my wife and i have these on our 1999 gs 400's. and the long looks that the young guys give them are priceless. co-workers make frequent compliments about the bling- bling factor.

i find them very easy to keep clean and shiny
