Default My 2GS I just picked up.

A little bit of back story... I used to own a 2001 IS300 and absolutely loved it. Had her for about 2 years and just a few months ago I got into a wreck and it was a total loss. Had full coverage on her so insurance paid out market value most of it went to the loan, I was left with about 2k and bought an 89 240sx to daily/wrench on. My wrencher toy while I had my IS300 was a 2000 Civic Si with a decent amount of tasteful mods. After a few months without my Lexus I had the itch again, I needed to get into another Lexus. I ended up selling my Civic Si and picking up this baby about a week ago

It's a 99 with a motor swap from a 2003 with low miles, about 70k (previous said he heard a knocking on the old motor and got scared so he just bit the bullet and swapped the whole motor )

It's got some headers and flowmaster exhaust, sounds really really good.

Some no name brand 20" wheels that I will definitely be replacing but not any time soon. (I'm curious to see how those wheels will look after a mean drop.

Anyway on to the pics.

^ hahaha yeah man I know. They came on the car already. I got this GS at a pretty decent deal (less than most I saw on craigslist, if I even found any GS series on craigslist at the time). I'm going to change the wheels, just not right now.

Thx everyone. Can't wait to start doing stuff to it. Also thanks for the coilover suggestion I'll look into those

Weren't you suspicious why the motor would need to be swapped or why it was swapped? Really fishy... if I were you I would flush the tranny fluid and change it ASAP.... doesn't sound like the guy before you knew or did anything good to that car.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pick her up for?

Any engine bay shots so we can confirm it really was swapped?

Nice car. I love my GS300...I think you'll love the buttersmooth ride and tank like build but the gas milage is poor. Hope you enjoy years of rides...welcome to the site dude!
