If you come to accept that our cars aren't what they used to be, either you'll keep it for the love, or you'll get rid of it and upgrade to the LS430
I agree. The car it self is not the problem, Hondas are great cars, its the crowd behind it. The majority of affordable cars or cars which have become affordable are now own by younger crowds and the not so Wealthy crowd. their Mentality is and has always been FOLLOW THE LEADER. Be in the IN CROWD, and I got a car that was worth $40k in 98 for $5k so now im on top of the wealth totem pole.

OP, the lip looks Tacky and Cheap on a car that is now @ $5K-9K, with Mods like these LUXURY is out the window, your car is no longer looked upon as a luxury classic, but rather the new Affordable scene. In addition that Plastic dip paint crap does not belong on a luxury car, grill, handles, wheels,or where ever you put it on. If your worried about paint chips better off getting a truck and putting some rhino-liner.

3 months from now there will be a SHOW YOUR REPLICA TTE LIP WITH HOME DEPOT MOD thread...watch for it. Right now the lurkers are waiting in the self checkout line with garage sealer and doublesided tape in hand. Some may have jumped the gun and got an extension cord to beat me to the extension cord fusa idea...I'm out the door now to Home Depot, brb.

P-A,

I agree and disagree w/ some of what you said there. In Paragraph 1. I for 1 bought a GS because I've always liked them even in stock form. I didn't buy it because it was affordable. Although finding one at a good price can't hurt. A Quality car at a good price, should be a no brainer purchase for anyone.

Speaking from my own personal experiences, I'm just fed up w/ the attention hondas grab from any cop just because it's a honda. Once you lower it w/ rims, tint, exhaust immediately as you back out the driveway you get a ticket. Yes there are knuckle heads out there that ruin things for everyone, but I don't have anymore money and time to waste w/ the courts. In my 10yrs of modifying cars I've naively spent 10-15K in court fines and fees for various tickets, impounds, failure to appears, license revocation etc etc and 30K + modding my cars over time. YES I HAVE ALL THEA RECEIPTS! YUP ALL MY FAULT, and I Take full responsibility.

I was young, very wild, and very reckless, and blind to other facts. Now-a-days I don't like many new cars and shapes, and no I cant afford any I do like such as; Aston Martins, Maseratis, etc etc and the ones I do like I wouldn't spend 40k ( EVO X ), because I'd rather buy a truck. But I'm not a truck guy, LOL. I rather purchase older cars, as I enjoy fixing them up. Now my wife is the linear buyer, she likes all the new fancy crap.

I don't think we should knock a person for a car becoming affordable, or speak negatively. I'm sure if that was truly the case folks would be jumping out there GSs left and right buying another car "out of reach" financially to the "younger crowd." But instead stress the how to maintain the cars integrity. For Instance: you really want to save a lip from rocks, chips, scrapes, raise your car up!!! Get some bigger rims and tires so you don't have to be so slammed and maintain the looks good feel!! Buy air-ride so you can oscillate ride heights!!! Millions of ways to get past excuses..... lastly the simplest and vary affordable protection is clear bra it. Just my opinion. OP so don't feel attacked in anyway.

P.S
FUSA ( a Glorified Tassle ) are Ghey too IMO! It's like Graduation day all over again, and again, and again!! but yes I would take one for free and hang it in my window at a show. HAHAHA! "keep it real, or Keep it movin"

I love my GS...doesn't matter what trends will come to make our cars look silly...I will always love my GS. Even if I sell it......and get a LS430...

Yesh like many others said. I love GS.
to me, the way of a stock 2gs looks and qualities are better than many 2012 car styles.
comparing the 2nd and 3gs about the body.
the 2gs looks tough and buff. strong
the 3gs looks thinner and longer. weak
but comparing the interior and some other functions, 3gs is better then 2gs.
