GS - 2nd Gen (1998-2005) Discussion about the second generation GS300, GS400 and GS430 (1998 - 2005)

Good luck with the work, hope things go smoothly for you. I just did my fuel filter today; the pics with all the white plastic you've seen are the whole assembly, the black piece you've got sits inside of it. It's pretty self-explanatory to take apart to get at the filter you'll be replacing. Maybe it's placebo effect but my car seems a little more responsive after the fuel filter change, have to wait to see if gas mileage improves.

I was planning on buying the drive belt and cam seals at my local dealership..
Do they sell that vvti o ring at any dealership? The timing belt kit came with 3 o rings don't know if the vvti came with it..


As for the radiator I will do that on my next set of maintenance...:-)
I will pm you my number. I think the VVTi O-ring is not avaialable / serviceable at the dealer but you can ask your local dealer if they do. The whole VVTi gear is available for $188.
