Max I've gone in a GS is between 125 and 130.

The GS is way too smooth, and find myself cruising at 85 often. Not hard to get it to triple digits if you're not paying attention, just trying to accelerate past/around another car.

I do have a slightly heavy foot. But I like to cruise like an old grandpa sometimes if the traffic isn't light.

I was on a small HWY between I-99 and I-5 in socal. I came to a stop sign and hammered the gas just to see how fas it would go(only had the car for about 1 month). The road was newly paved, flatland forever on either side and I haden't even seen another car on it for the last 30 mins. I got it past 150 (up to approx 156-158) on the speedometer and it felt like it kept going. I let off and coasted for a while. One word....NERVOUS. Wouldn't do it again

If you want to make yourself drive slowly, play soothing slow music on the CD player / radio. I find that the more 'energetic' the music, the faster I drive.

Aristo916 is right on target. I really felt at that speed, If I had moved the steering wheel a little to the left/right, the car would have went out of control, and flipped. I kept that wheel straight!!!! I actually went out of control like that doing 130mph in a '95 V6 toyota camry, and let me tell you, it is NO FUN, going sideways down the freeway, without rims, tires, and sparks/pieces of the road flying. The reason why? (Outside of the obvious foolishness of doing 120), I turned the wheel slightly, the car went out of control, and that was all she wrote.

I've gotten up to 140mph in the GS. Nothing compared to my needle being buried past 180 mph in the almighty Supra.
I've driven the Supra to the point where I felt like the car was going to start flying off the pavement. It actually handles better at extreme speeds. I really can't help it, but, I LOVE to drive at extreme speeds. I'm just not afraid of the car. It's a real rush when you see that needle go past 180. Btw, my high speed runs were all done in the early, early hours of the morning with no traffic on the roads. I do respect other drivers.

I hit 140 MPH in my 1993 SC400, and 145 MPH in my 1989 Corvette. Glad to read the GS can get up there if need be.

Ditto. You get the biggest rush to when it is so easy to accomplish!!!!!

135MPH in the fast lane on the way to ATL three weeks ago. Coming from Auburn, AL on the way up to Atlanta -- where it goes from 2 lanes to 4.

Car actually felt stable. Didn't do any quick turns thank God. Wouldn't want to try. I don't think my tires could've handled it much longer. Not doing it again any time soon.

I was coming back from Missouri 2 years ago and I had set my cruise at 130 cruising happily at that speed with virtually no traffic on the interstate in my new GS4 (which by the way was totaled by the dealer the following week). I cruised at that speed for about 30 minutes until an M3 showed up out of nowhere and started tailgating me. I floored it and if I recall I hit 150+ and I would've stayed on if my wife hadn't yelled at me to quit it. I slowed back down to 130 and at that time the M3 decided to pass me. Right at that moment in the opposite lane coming at us was a state police. He knew one of us was speeding because he had the damn lights on immediately when he saw us and made the fastest U-turn I had ever seen. Of course the first thing that came out of my mouth when I saw him was "oh ****". Well, someone higher up was looking out for me because the M3 got nailed. I decided to be a good citizen and obeyed the speed limit the rest of the way.

Fastest I got my car to was 135 and I was driving like that for about a half an hour, I was on I think I4 or somthin I forgot what it's called but it's on the way to Toronto, from Detroit, Anyways the road was smooth as if it was just paved, No cars around so I was just cruising doing 135 and it didn't even feel that way, felt to me like I was doing 80 it didn't feel unstable cause I didn't have to do lane changes, When I ended up slowing down to 75 it felt like I was doing 25, lol lines weren't moving fast anymore
