Default Overheating/No heat/White smoke coming from air vent when the heat is on?

Back round story: Two weeks ago car overheated, ended up flushing coolant changing oil, replaced valve cover gasket's and spark plugs. A week later car overheated again and coolant was dripping all over the car. Car was pressure tested and they could not find any leaks so i replaced the radiator cap. I am keeping an eye on the coolant levels and temp to see if that fixes it hopefully i don't have a blown head gasket.

Also I purchased the car from my friend with 130k miles ever since (175k miles now) then the heater has never worked, it just never gets hot. I checked the DS servo to see if it was working and it seems to be, so I dont know what else it could be. I was told that if the heater core was broken it would cause my floor to be wet and my windows would fog up. Then today i turned on my heat just to see if it would work a bunch of white smoke came out of it so i have no idea what is going on

are you getting a coolant smell through the vents? definitely sounds like your heater core is shot

no heat = bad heater core or air in the system.

air in the system = overheating.

white smoke in vents = ? never seen that before, can't be good.

Was their oil in the coolant or vice versa? It's sounding a lot like blown headgaskets to me.

when i flushed the coolant it was a really dirty orange looked pretty rusty. The oil looked ok just dirty but i changed it all and i will check the coolant agian to see if it changes color or anything.

Ya the air smells a little like coolant and i had never seen the white smoke before it was only when i turned the heat on.

Sounds like the heater core has a blockage. Has the coolant level changed since you flushed it?

I have kept an eye on the coolant and it seems to stay completely full under the cap but the reserve still seems to move around a bit. is there a way to flush the heater core or to clear the blockage.

Also the air does in fact smell really sweet when i turn the temp up, and white smoke still comes out on occasion but only for a second or two when i adjust the temp.
