Default double din options? 02 gs300

Here is a picture of the interior of my 2002 lexus gs. It looks a bit different than other gs interiors. What would be my best way to get a double din while still keeping the car's navigation system?

That is fine, but what about the AC buttons that are on the same piece as the factory navigation?

There has to be a thread about retaining that factory screen and just adding your own brain....

it can be done but you have to run new wires, and get new amps, and be creative. There is a plug with two wires(pink and a purple) on the back of the tape section that will have to stay plugged in for the nav and climate controls to work, i'm trying to figure out exactly what those two wires do. I plan on extending those two wires and place the tape section where the CD changer is in the glove box. Of coarse if you can't do this yourself, it will cost a lot of money for a shop to do it. Took two weeks for me and my brother to figure out how to do it.
