2gs or 3GS?

Thank you all for the responses. I guess it really just boils down to what the insurance will do for me my car was stolen. I have never had a car stolen so I'm not sure how statefarm will payout as far as all my mods.

I was just in the same boat. While I could afford a 3G, I got a 2g instead. I feel like you get a lot more bang for your buck. The car has fully depreciated to the point where you can put miles on it and not lose much money. The 3G will take a bit hit when the 4g will come out next year.
The 2g has all the options I could want and I absolutely love the design since I had my gs400.
I might pick up a 06-08 gs430 when they drop into the mid teens but that's not happening for a while. After driving both my 04 and a 06, I couldn't justify paying another $13000-15000 for the newer body style.
