I would go for the 3GS just because its newer and more technology incorporated in the ride. But as far as looks, I would stick with 2GS and maintaining this car is not that bad.

Thank you all for the responses. I guess it really just boils down to what the insurance will do for me my car was stolen. I have never had a car stolen so I'm not sure how statefarm will payout as far as all my mods.

Gotta agree with these guys, I've loved the styling of the 2GS since my old ES300 days in 01-02. Seems to me alot of newer cars are getting generic, hard to tell one apart from another. I've seen some sick modded 3GS but as a whole they don't stand out to me. Granted a 3GS is out of my budget but if it was in my budget it probably wouldn't be at the top of my list.

I was just in the same boat. While I could afford a 3G, I got a 2g instead. I feel like you get a lot more bang for your buck. The car has fully depreciated to the point where you can put miles on it and not lose much money. The 3G will take a bit hit when the 4g will come out next year.

The 2g has all the options I could want and I absolutely love the design since I had my gs400.

I might pick up a 06-08 gs430 when they drop into the mid teens but that's not happening for a while. After driving both my 04 and a 06, I couldn't justify paying another $13000-15000 for the newer body style.
