Last time I drove my car was Thursday after work and it was still bright out so I know for sure I didnt use my interior lights. Friday morning everything was good when I went out to my car to get my laptop because I worked from home. I didn’t go anywhere else on Friday either.
On Saturday I went to go to laundry and heard an odd sound coming from my hood, kind of like a thudding/clicking noise. Opened it up an, couldn’t pinpoint where the sound was coming from exactly but it was around driver side towards top corner. Went to unlock my car and it wouldn’t. so I just thought my remote needed a new battery. Went to start my car and got nothing. No electricity.
My brother came and jumped my car. As soon as we hooked up the cable my alarm went off. Went to my friends shop to use the voltage meter and the battery and alternator are good, all cables good too.
I didnt drive anywhere else on saturday or sunday but i did check on the car by unlocking/locking it with the remote. This morning it started and ran just fine.
any idea on what couldve happened or what I should be checking to make sure it doesnt happen again?
