Question GS Problems

I wanted to know if anyone in CL has any problems with there GS. I was thinking of buying an extended warratny from warrantybynet.com. It will cost about 1,000 on my 2000 GS with 43,000 miles. I wanted to know if anyone has any problems with their GS or is it wise to get because the warranty is for 5 years 100,000 miles. I would like to know if anyone that is a High way battler had any issues with their car when it started to get in to the high milage bracket! Or is it true to say that Lexus does not really have repair problems.

If you are looking at extended warranty, we are finalizing the deal with www.warrantygold.

By chance, will they cover some sort of option for those of us with over 50,000 miles, or more than 48 months since the vehicle was first put into use?

Thanks.

As for your original question.

I had some electronic/mechanical problems. (Not sure which.) with the steering wheel e-shift buttons.

After I'd throw it into "E-Manual", it used to give me an error code, and couldn't shift out of 5. One of the buttons was physically "jammed". I couldn't depress it all the way to get the "click". And the buttons on the other side was useless while it was jammed on the other side.

Covered under warranty thankfully. God bless America and Lexus too.

VI Rep, I found this list of auto warranty companies on the Google directory. If you can price out a warranty online with some of these the other companies, maybe you want to do a little shopping around.
