So is the Rubber the only thing holding the Original Inner Sleeve? So you just get rid of that rubber and then you can put the inner sleeve in the new Poly Bushing, then just Press that Bushing in?

Is this the Process:

Lol so new Question. I contacted Sewell to see if their Bushing would fit my 1998 GS. They told me it would not because the Control arm and Bushing are Smaller . I thought that the Carson and Sewell Bushings were basically identical. Has anyone tried installing the Sewell Bushings on a 98-00 GS. And has anyone tried installing the Carson bushings on a 98-00 GS.

I ordered some then returned them kuz it was going to be a pain in the *** to get those bushings out.

Just went to the dealer and dropped like 300$ and got the whole updated arm and bushing assembly.

I think I may have to do that since the Bushing is not going to work for my GS 400.

The Carson bushings are meant for the smaller arms. Didn't know Sewell had them for the 03 plus until I noticed them when ordering my arms yesterday, did see a note there to reuse both sleeves.

So the Carson Bushings are meant for the 98-2000 Models? This makes a tough decision for me because the Carson Bushings are $100 for both, and I could just get the 2001-2005 Arms for around $200 (for both). Do you think the Carson Poly Bushings will out perform even a brand new set of the Bigger 2001-2005 Control Arms and Bushings. I have heard that the Poly Bushings do improve the suspension when they are in replacement of worn bushings, I am just wondering if brand new bushings would feel just as nice. Lol Sewell already shipped the order out to me so I may just keep the Bushings and then go ahead and buy all new 2001+ Arms and if I want an even more rigid suspension I can pop in the Sewell Bushings.

My confusion comes from the fact that I thought the Carson and Sewell Bushings were identical, so I thought they would both fit the 98-00 GS's.

From what I read in an old thread, the 98-00 had small arms and bushings, 01-02 had bigger arms and small bushings, while 03-05 had bigger arms and bigger bushings. So if you're ordering new arms you'll want to get 03+ although I think those part numbers have replaced the earlier parts at Sewell and many other places. Where did you find the new arms for around $200? I paid $260 at Sewell but I did get an email from Darrel saying that the price had changed and my account had been credited although i don't know how much less they're charging me. Props to Sewell for giving me some money back though, many people would just keep my money.

Default Problem(s) Solving Bushings

I have a 2001 GS300 and the part number I received from sewellpart is ADUS 537. It said on the label 9/1999-2005. O.E # 48660-30281. Is this the correct Bushing Part Number for my car? I am kinda worry too. The mechanic is going to charge me around $150 for the installation. I can see it will be quite a PITA to DIY. . I think i am gonna RMA and order the OEM casting arm.

My is a 2001 GS300 with the 537 PSB/ASUB poly Bushing, Do I need to re-use the outer shell? Is there an outer shell in my Trailing Arms/ Caster Arm? I know the inner sleeving/shell is needed. I am chasing my own tail here. thank a lot all.
