If the replica fits good, then why not?
the real one CAN still be purchased just have to get them shipped from europe, even when the used ones go up for sale people complain about the pricing of them

BTW the TTE lips IS still in production, TTE just no longer is shipping to the US. you can still get them overseas....

per their website they no longer dealing directly with the public

I just want to know why you didnt stop to get it as soon as it happened? Surprised no one asked either... I wouldnt care if it were raining fire, I'd pull over and see what happened cause I'm sure the car ran over it or you heard SOMEthing right?

Were talking roads flooded to the point of being over the bottem of the sills, in the pitch black, rain beating down so hard it dulls out the radio...... I had no clue it was gone untill i made it to my driveway. I was doing 40ish when I hit the FIRST lake hidden in the middle of the road.......never heard a thing but was only concerned on getting through it without flooding out my car.

TTE replicas are NOT urethane. They are still fiberglass, I know because i have had one before. Got my TTE stolen, then replace with a replica which cracked, then got another real TTE only to get the emblems misplaced.

They never dealt with the public in terms of purchasing one or two parts. They've always dealt with distributors but now they only deal with 'master' distributors. I actually contacted Friedel - mgr over at toyota gmbh and he forwarded me to Raul over at trd usa who in turn told me that he wouldn't be able to source one. I'd have to buy one from the sites in brians link or source one used/new in retail.

I've been looking alot for either brand new/used tte's but at the point of spending around $700+ with shipping and paint I'd much rather get sides and rears from a full lip kit.

What caused it. im still wondering. Maybe because im bad in driving. The two things r diff between rep and real. The badge and the urth n fiber. .
