Hello from SOCAL Cinnabar Pearl (Red) GS300 2001...
Hello everyone, I am a new member here. I came to know about this forum after purchasing a Lexus. I bought a GS300 2001 Cinnabar Pearl (Red) 140k in South California.
Don't have pics of it yet. First week gone in polishing and toning exteriors myself. It had few fine scratches that I tried to cover up with Meguiars gold exition wax-polish. I am new to Lexus and luxury features that are available in it. But very familiar with Toyota Camry and Corolla ownership.
At this time I am facing some noise issues inside cabin (Mode servo seem bad) and 2 door actuators playing up Other than that I fell in love with this car on first drive. Its really smooth hard to tell that it has registered 140k on odo.
However, I'll have to admit that I do feel bit scared at times if I could get into spending too much on repair after reading into the cost of components and labor.
From this community I came to know that there seem to be all kind of DIY possible if one want to save, but I am not at all expert with car mechanics.
I wish if I could find some guys down SO CAL whom I could bug more with my queries!!
-Sam

Hi guys,
Let use the forums for Q&A please if you would (not this thread).
Sam, there is a dedicated SoCal regional forum that already has a number of threads on recommendations you can search up

I am new to the site and i am pleasantly suprised with the knowledge and respect coming from the posts. I posted a thread about upper control arm advice and received 4 great responses within a few hours. I just wanted to say thank you to the 2nd gen GS members. I plan on becoming more involved and i know i can learn some great tips and tricks from the guys here.

Very good post! You restored my faith in humanity at least for today. I have been on the outside looking in for a couple years now but was hesitant to join due to the fact that I tend to avoid drama in every possible aspect of life. These posts have save me so much money but I have also been shocked to read some posts from nasty people. I joined this morning to try to get some friendly advice. Hopefully I posted in the correct forum and used all the correct terminology....,hoping the "e thugs" play nice! So far so good
