is a good place to start; most dealers' cpo units are on the higher price side, that is how they make $$$...(this is pretty much a given)..just want to confirm that as i worked at the 2nd largest dealer in the US before..
i would say take you time thru private sales and have the car inspected by a trusted tech guy
price: ~$28-33K, depends on miles, condition and options

Just test drove a lex cert. 1999 gs300 w/ 27300 miles on it. Fully loaded except Nav. What would be a good price on it?? Sticker is 34995.
Also, question, do all 99 and up gs models have xenon hid lights or is it an option. Also, how user friendly is the 99 up Nav system in the lexus gs series, is it cd-rom based or dvd-based??? Thanks. Appreciate any feedback

2) no idea about the dvd nav, but my guess is the nav wasn't dvd until 00 or 01.
3) fyi i got my 98 gs4, no option, only 17" silver wheels and spoiler, for 26k. that's a good price for a 32k miles car. i am not the best price adjuster but i think you can lower the price a bit, it's a gs3 after all.
have you tried longo lexus?

rominl, great price you paid.
when did you purchase? and was it from a Lexus dealer?
I am also in the market for a GS3/4 so I am interested to know.
99 Nav are hard-drive based (no CD or DVD based). My LS400 has the Nav and it is very user friendly although I don't use it (almost never).
HIDs were optional in 99.
and the price, 99 ceritifed GS3 for 35000 bucks?? hell no! you can get a new 2002 for about $38500 thesedays. reasonable price would be around $27000-28000.

oh crap, sorry i forgot to say, it's not from dealer and not certified. warranty is out but i have confidence in lexus. one big reason why i got the car is i know the previous only owner of the car and he took care of the car as well, that's peace of mind for me. he's coworker of my gf and is well off, so he didn't really care about selling the car cheap, so....

romi..great buy....
timmy,
though it is a cpo, that is waayy too high for a gs3...under $30k is more like it...
if you are considering pre-owned, def look at the GS4 as you get more value there...here in LA, is very very competitive, take your time, you will find a gem....
feel free to ask here whenever you see a car you like

Timmy,

Remove the nospam.
Email me if you'd like. I'm afraid of violating forum rules. I have a retail place I can point you to where I just bought my GS4 for under $30k. I had a great experience with them.
It was an executive lease, '99 with every option. Kind of high miles though, 60k.
They are very willing to please.
I'm in Sandy Eggo by the way. Where are you in SoCal?
