Default To those of you with OBX headers.. And anyone that has some info that may help.

So lately.. (the past 2-3 days).. My GS has seemed to be a bit warmer than usual on the inside.. Like you can feel the heat in the center console where the shift **** is and around the cigarette lighter and whatnot.. It just feels like the car is hotter than how it usually is on the inside. I can't figure out why though. It seemed to just have popped up the past few days unless I am so use to this Texas heat that I never even noticed it. I mainly noticed Sunday night when I was doing a late drive, about 10PM, and I noticed that I was still feeling VERY warm while driving even with the windows down.. I then started to feel around the car while driving and noticed that the car even felt a bit warm.

The only thing that I can think of that all this heat may be being generated from are the OBX headers that I had installed about 3-4 weeks ago, but it's odd that I am JUST NOW noticing the warm feeling inside, because it's very noticeable now.

So what do you guys think? Anything specific I should check? Or is it the headers that are causing all this heat being generated? I even opened my glove box and felt around in there and noticed it was VERY warm, which is what made me believe that it's the headers that are causing it, but I am open to opinions and info if anyone has any..

It doesn't really bother me that much. I just don't want the heat to melt something or mess something up. I don't think it's THAT hot to cause any of that, but better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks in advance,

-Daniel

Sounds more tranny related, especially if you hadn't noticed it before with the exhaust.

It could be just the heat wave...I thought I heard most states were experiencing some blistering heat.

If you think it's bothersome, consider a heat shield for the headers.

Tranny related, eh? What do you expect the problem/fix is if that is what it is, Parker?

That's what I was thinking.. Maybe it's just been really hot.. I'll keep an eye on it and see where it goes. I was considering just that though, a heat shield.

Here in Denver its been pretty hot and my car feels like its giving way to hot heat also. It can be simply heat related. Like stated above
