Ok, here is my situation. I bought a set of 19" rims 9.5 rears and 8.5 fronts all +38 offsets. I have a set of 275/30/19 for the rear and I had a set of 245/40/19 sitting around so i was going to use them for the front. I know the rear tires are the right size for sure, but the fronts will be a bit taller.
Would or has anyone ever run a taller tire up front. I know this isnt ideal, but the tires are nearly new Michelin pilots and id like to use them.
Also going to be dropped on Tanabe DF210 springs as well. Any input or info would be appreciated. I did find a pic of this set up online but the guy was way low on coilovers so he could adjust the wheel gap to whatever he wanted.

its not that big of a difference, I would just run it since you have the tires anyways. If you wanted to spend money then 245/35 would even it up as far as overall size, however I think it will work in your benifit. The DF210 drop still leaves a slightly larger gap in the front than the rear, the larger sidewall in the front will help fill the gap and give an even look.

The thing is, I upgraded my rims to a 2008 Lex. IS 18" stock rims, so when i put them on the 1998 GS300 there seem to be a lot of space around the tire on the wheel well. The rims are great but i wanted to full up the wheel well without creating a rub. The tires that come with those rims are low profile, and i am afraid if i keep them as 225/40 i will have a rough and rugged ride. I don't know if i could go up to a 225/50 on the front rims, without rubbing the inner wheel well. Can someone please help me figure this out?
