Default Start up issue

hey guys,

I have a issue starting my 99 GS. It gives me a single click when I turn the key. I replaced the starter ( x2 thinking the 1st may be defective) and the battery. Any suggestions?

Your starter solenoid is not operating that why you only here a single click. Check the starter contacts, do a voltage drop test. You should get a voltage drop, no more than .3 V.

I had a similar issue. The car was running fine during the day but at night getting ready to go home, it wouldnt start. New battery and all. It would make the noise as if its going to start but not start. So i guess it would turn but not start the car. I thought it was the starter, so I called some guy to fix two days later and as soon as he showed up, the car started and has been starting ever since, but still want to know what could have stopped it from not starting days before?
