The solution to your fading problem is to wetsand and polish, then re coat with UV - but the final step is to put lens wrap on them. This will block ALL uv from hitting the lens and since it's a sacrificial barrier when it breaks down, peel and replace.
I have a question. I have a 98 Gs400 with the xenon auto leveling headlights. But the tab's on on headlight are broken. I have a set of regular halogen headlights. Can I just dismount both headlights & transfer everything from the xenon to the other housing headlight?

My friend had someone spray clear coat on his headlights after refinishing them, maybe try that. It seems to be working for him out here in cali. And i do mean paint clear coat.
Buy the sylvania headlight restoration kit, it's by far the best one I've ever used, and comes with a a UV protection clear coat so it lasts a very long time, I used it on my old 2GS and a friends IS and they stayed clear until I sold the car and my friend Is still looks great
