car won't start. help with diagnostic please
I just replaced battery, thinking it was that. Nope.. car is fine, but every once and a while it wont start. I would have to jump my car. Could it be the alternator?

It could be the alternator but usually when the alternator goes out, your battery light will stay illuminated. You should start with the cheap/free fixes such as cleaning your battery terminals and cleaning your grounds. Make sure your terminals are on tight too.
