I thought I could brag about high mileage with 205k on the clock. This is a damn good buy for $3k$. A drop and some decent wheels are all these GS need to look real good, or you can do alot more if you choose.

From the other thread when another member told him to do that. Then he later said "I was just kidding"

Very nice GS man your a luck man it's rare to find low mile GS.

Wow, that's pretty impressive. Good to see that the GS can pull that off, with no major repairs.
I may looking to get one, still not sure what I want for a third car. I drive my cars till the tires fall off, as you can tell by my signature. I'm looking at ES300, IS300 and the GS300. Hahah, LOL.. Decisions, Decisions.

wow on the miles,
my '01 has 85k mi. So that means it'll be over 30 years old and qualify as a classic car before I have that many miles on it.

So what all has been done to it to maintain it and noted in the service records?

i believe it is like any other car. paint on plastic looks slightly different then paint on metal.... even though you use the same paint. I guess it is how the light reflects upon it.

i'm sure OP would notice if it really didn't match.

Looks like a repaint to me. Color wouldn't be off by THAT much. For 3k you can't complain though.

thinking about getting new rims and getting it dropped?
This is awesome! I just bought a 2001 GS300 with 179,000 miles...it feels like a pillow with wheels! It runs too awesome to understand...traded in a 1997 Honda Accord (stick shift) with only 157,000 miles...this GS is sweet! Black onyx, black leather interior, silver chrome wheels...still looks great! A great deal overall...quite impressive car for its mileage and age....public opinion is that this car gets 250,000 to 300,000 miles of life expectancy???
