Hey guys...thanks for the responses! Currently, I am running it bare in the rear...hehe. I only have the "L" back there, but I get constant questions on which series it is and idiots wanting to see if the car has an eight (racing)...that's why I sorta want the badges back on. I also wanted to do a little change, but I guess I will decide in a day or so...Any more opinions???

I actually prefer the chrome on lighter colors, but on Dex's blue I like the black pearl (or grey tint is more what it looks like to me).

Personally, I like the black chrome on silver. My previous car had that setup (along with a black chrome grille...it was fully chrome from the factory)....always got compliments on that color combo...

One of the reasons I bought my first lexus, a 92 LS, was because I took a liking to Lexus' "understated elegance", no chrome, etc. The dealer virtually insisted (margins must be HUGE) I buy the gold badge upgrade, so much so that in reaction I immediately took the car to a body and paint shop and had all of the trunk badges removed, holes filled and the trunk lid repainted.
One of the things I noticed back then was so many other cars passing by ever so slowly and trying to figure out what the "brand" was. The BBS-RS wheels without badges didn't help much either. So, if you're looking for attention......
My 00 GS300 looked a lot better that way too.

Thanks for the replies guys! I ended up re-ordering my stock black pearl badges, but in the mean time, I am going to stick with just the "L" in the rear Like mooretorque said...much easier to wax
