I thought the V8's were interference motors? so if the timing belt jumped or snaped while running then it would damage the valves and cause zero compression even if the timming was put back right.
And where do i go to get the japan motors and transmissions cheap? building one up out of the car would be alot easier for me.

I'm doing the same jdm v8 swap as well. I wanted to did you have any problems with the shift linkage and transmission mount not lining up right ?
