18" Altima SE-R wheels
Hey guys, I haven't posted on here in a while. I currently have some random brand black 19" wheels and they're really heavy. I know most people swap their wheels for the 19" G35 Rays but I was thinking about going a different route.
The Altima SE-R wheels are forged so I know they're gonna be light in comparison to my 19's. And since the is no lip (face is flush with the tire), I don't think they're gonna look as small as other 18" wheels with a lip.
Another reason I think they'll look great is that the stock Altima runs 225/45 series tires, but I would be putting 235/40 series tires giving it a slightly lower profile look. My car is lowered so I think it'll look nice.
I've searched the forum but couldn't find anyone who has these wheels on their car.....Just wanted some opinions guys

Thanks man. Another reason I'm thinking of dropping down to the 18's is for ride comfort. These DC potholes eat rims and tires for lunch and chew on struts just for the fun of it lol

They're made by Alcoa for the Altima SE-R edition, not by Nissan. Plus they're about 19lbs each...so I don't see them any different than using G35 wheels made by Rays
I'm kinda aiming for a stock look so I think they'll look nice. And if I never mentioned that they were Altima wheels I doubt most people would knock them.

I guess you have a point. I just really like the design of them plus I found a set for like $500. (broke college student budget lol)
I guess its kinda like the new Sonata...it's a beautifully designed car but if you know anything about cars, you know the CLS was the original and has much more class...so for right now, theses wheels are with my budget

Fred, keep the stock wheels. I like the SE-R, I've driven the SE-R and I like the wheels and the look they gave the car. Everyone knows the last 2 generations of the Altima were copies of the GS. Don't put Altima wheels on your Lexus GS. I mean we already have tons of Infiniti wheels on the Lexus GS, this would take it to another level and I don't mean a high level.
Take your time and do it right or wait until you can find something else. The offsets might be wrong too, the Altima is FWD to the GS RWD.

Thanks for the input guys! I did a little more online searching today and found the 19" G35 Rays that I really wanted in pristine condition but need new tires. So I plan on purchasing them this weekend if this stupid hurricane doesn't stop me

cant say i know what your reg 19's look like but if you can get those for 50 and you like them better than the wheels you got now why not rock them. Im sure you can sell your 19's for 500. Why not use a set of rims that you like better when they are practically free and they are lighter and would be smoother on your streets. just my opinion. Im sure many disagree with me but if you like the way they look get them.. You are the one driving the car. Or why not look into some of the lexus wheels.
Im riding on stock g35 wheels but i would trade mine for these lexus wheels in a heartbeat
