Default Which fog light bulbs will match stock HIDs?

I know these light bulb threads keep coming up over and over again and they all boil down to opinions. I'm going to do the fog light mod to make my stock yellow fog lenses clear but I want to which of the following bulbs will be the closest match to my stock HIDs.

PIAA Xtreme White
PIAA Super Plasma
RAZO Premum White
Sylvania Silverstar

When I look on www.piaa.com , I don't see the PIAA Xtreme White or PIAA Super Plasma in a size 9006, I only see them in an H4 (60/55w) size. Is that the same thing as 9006? They did have Xtreme White Plus and Platinum Super White in size 9006 but I've never seen anybody mention if these would match.

And then I saw these 2 auctions on eBay for Xenon HID and Super HID fog light replacement bulbs claiming to match HIDs but I haven't heard anything about them.

Depending on the different opinions, I may start a poll.

I've seen the RAZO's in Mumbles GS (clear lens) and think they look great. Very nice match for color and brightness.

I've got PIAA Platinum Series Super White in mine, but still have the yellow lens in - so can't tell you what color they'd be (or even if they're sold anymore as I've had them for a couple of years). I just know they're definitely brighter than the Silverstars.

i've heard so much of RAZO .. never tryed 'em though.. but from pictures it looked pretty good ... but so is others too..

someone recently post pictures about Sylvania Silverstar for headlights... but it uses same bulbs for fog lights

and PIAA.. PIAA is always one of the best choices.. so its really hard to say..

i'd read specifications ..

I'm using Super White and they don't match. I doubt the Xtreme White will match. Sylvania Silverstar will not match as well. Your best bet should be Super Plasma and yes they do have 9006.

Alexulan, I found the same place selling it and this other one.

http://www.extremeredline.com/lights/9006_bulb.htm

This store lists items on eBay under the seller id extremeredline.
http://cgi6.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-c...extremeredline

MGS4, I couldn't find the Super Plasma on the PIAA web site and judging by the Aisan writing on the package, it might be an import item.

One interesting thing I stumbled across in my search. The following page mentions "Carmate Gigalux/Razo" bulbs.

http://shop.store.yahoo.com/racingla...tegigalux.html

It looks like Carmate manufactures the Gigalux and Razo brands of bulbs and that Gigalux may have a similar bulb. Anybody have any thoughts on this?

Also, nobody commented about those auctions I listed in my initial post. Would I be wasting my money and time would either one of those bulbs?

You can find several PIAA bulbs here:
http://www.sigmaautomotive.com/piaa/bodymainpiaa.html

I tried the RAZO Premuim White Zeros, and they matched very well. I thought we went over this already

Yes, but your fogs might look a tad green.

I just found the box to when they did my original mod on the fog lamps. I have the stock 55W clears in them.

CUZO HYPER WHITE 9006 80w

These were good for about 10,000 miles.

They do match.

http://members.aol.com/BADSVT/lighting/bulbs.htm $29.00 a pair.

Yeah, but I didn't like them as much on yours . Too much blue tint with the blue car, I felt like crying or something it was so blue. Very glad you went back to the yellow fogs!

Seriously though (and why I listed it), Mumbles was the first guy I saw with the Razo's. Credit where credit is due... looked very nice on his black GS.

I've considered changing my fogs out to clear several times in the past & I've fallen in and out of favor with the yellow lenses... I've finally decided I like the contrast of the yellow fogs best. It's one of the things I always look for on the road at night (the distinctive Lexus HID/yellow fog combo). Our Lexus signature.

Me too...

Sam, why don't you just trade with someone on the forum who wants the yellow fogs??

well, the advantage of having clear fog lenses is that if you don't want the white light, you could just pop in a pair of yellow bulbs.
