Weird 3rd brake light OEM part
I was beginning to wonder if my spoiler was factory after I found that my trunk slammed shut because of the tension rods never being readjusted. Also making me believe it was not factory was the fact my "4th" brake light on the dash was lit up even though I had no brake lights out. One more indicator, I still retained the in car 3rd brake light housing. Upon further inspection of the housing, I noticed it was blacked out, but not with tape or paint, but this...
It is even complete with a Toyota part number. This had me curious, so I took out the bulb container and found this....
This is weird and baffling, it could have very well been a part only available to dealers in effort to shortcut the process and save them money on replacing the warning light indicator box. All I know is, I know have to replace 4 burned out bulbs that no one will ever see illuminate just to get my "4th brake light" to go out on the dash!!!

Probably just came in a non-spoiler to spoiler conversion kit for dealers. As far as I know any car with the high mount brake light did not have the spoiler installed at the factory.

I would hope so, all factory non-spoiler 2GS's have the high mount brake light on the rear deck.
All factory spoiler 2GS's do not have the high mount on the deck since they have it on the spoiler.
If a car has both (Like the OP) or neither something has been modified since it was built.
