Default Rear Window defogger

Hey gang, I took my car to get retinted and the very nice people scrapped off the tint from the back window instead of using a heat gun without informing me first. So now I have no rear defogger, is it possible to get it put back on, or would I have to replace the entire glass? Yes I did use the search, I used the terms " rear defogger", "defogger" for both entire post and title only. Thanks in advance

New window, or reconnect any hairline crack in the traces on the window to restore functionality. I would be making them replace it! Sad part is, hard to prove it worked before, proving that they are the ones at fault....

I love car modifications, downfall to modifications is they tend to break ****!

I agree with ihateu3 that the window will probably need to be replaced.

On another note...

Please explain how the window tint broke the defogger? IMPROPERLY performed or poorly planned/executed maybe but generally speaking the statement modifications break stuff is incorrect.

Same thing happend to mine, didn't really realize it until a few days ago. I went back to the shop that did it and they denied anything.

Good luck. I just used some defogger spray/liquid and wiped down the outside and inside of the rear. Works great.
