What this guy said.

And you don't necessarily HAVE to buy VIP Modulars to get that style. There are plenty of other companies that make things that are similar and are LEGIT. If you want nice wheels, but are on a budget, then look at Works or something. They've got some real nice wheels also. PLENTY of companies to choose from with good looking wheels for a reasonable price. Just need to search around.

And if you're okay with it just buy them used. Lots of people buy VIP Modulars or high dollar wheels just for their show car and then get rid of them a few months later for $2-3k and they're still in perfect condition.

PM LiLS on here. Talked to him earlier today and he has a couple sets of wheels he's trying to get rid of in the 3k range and they're legit wheels.

There are a few wheels out there that resemble these (i.e. Vossen) but most are one-piece and won't give you offset and width options. You could buy some 'off the shelf' wheels and space them out, but it might not get you the look you want.

There really is no substitute for a forged 3-piece wheel in terms of looks. In person, the differences are even more apparent.

I'm a self-admitted wheel snob, but I've always believed wheels make the car.

Good thread. We offer the VVS 082 with a MSRP around $2500 for 20s staggered if you like that kind of multi-spoke style. It is a low pressure cast wheel and we offer a 5 year warranty. It is high quality and there are countless members on here happy with their set of Vossen wheels. We would LOVE to see it on a 2GS.

Bob is highly respected and his wheels and what he has done speaks for itself, he is a great source of information and CL is lucky to have him here.

I am a wheel junkie as well, I spent $7600 on a set of ELT Asantis and it was the worst impulse buy I have ever made they were over priced, poorly made, and Asantis customer service was garbage. I now have a set of Vossen Wheels and couldn t be happier with the look, price , and quality of a one piece wheel, they actually have a great selection of offset options from conservative to aggressive and inbetween. Just whatever you do don t but them or any other wheel from D2autosport!!!!! I however do not want to run spacers any longer and wanted something a little less common so now am getting ready to finally recieve a set of Work Varianza F2S with the exact offset I wanted down to the mm. I wanted a multi piece wheel and looked into buying a set of Ordens but they only offer their offsets in windows of several mm increments as opposed to 1mm increments. I have found Work Usa to be a pleasure to deal with and Logan the representative I have interacted with to extremely helpful from discussing offset, disk specification, and sizing, to frequent status updates, and delivery timelines. I Would gladly buy from Vossen or Work again! Sorry for thread jacking just giving some feedback on my experience in dealing with 2 companies with 2 different price ranges. good luck!
