Default Free air bass and Sub which do you use?

hey, Im looking forward to replacing my nakamichi 10 in stock sub in my GS with another free air sub, other than the IB4 JL that i've read around whats another good sub and amp combo that you guys are or willing to use ?? any ideas?

I went with a pioneer free air from ebay... been running for two years... $40

I used alpine type r 4 ohms make sure you get a 4 ohms for louder and deeper bass.

dd designs 8, in a custom box built by yours truly, running 200 watts...everyone thinks its a 12....the box fits on the shelf in the trunk.

which amps did you guys all use? the stock one?

yeah i might get a kicker or the alpine one JL is kinda pricy... but really want to get the JL Marine one

mb quart 100 watt x 4 running focals in the front doors and bridged running a 4ohm dd 8" in the trunk, sounds like a million bucks. Just get a line out converter and splice into the wires in the trunk at the amp. the box is more important than the sub or amp. I can email you the plans for a box if you pm me, it is simple, you can get the guys at home depot to cut all the pieces, just take them home drill, glue and screw. if you want to get really fancy you can cover it with some carpet.

I have the ML system and when I bought my car the ML sub was blown and disconnected. I put in a Kenwood 07C108, and to be honest it sounds pretty good. It is running off the ML amp.
