Hold out for a good price.

I bought my CPO 2000 GS400 Platinum edition with NAV, HID, CD changer in GORGEOUS condition with 49,000 miles for $32,000 in San Francisco.

One electrical problem with the ignition connector coming disconnected while driving. Fixed promptly under warranty.

Have fun!

I agree w/ the team - hold out till you find the exact model you want and make sure to get the NAV option.

I found my certified 99 w/ NAV, HID, SPOILER and 17" for a sticker of 40K and I walked paying $34K about four months ago. The car had 35K miles on it...

regarding the Nav - Personally, I think the pre-2001 Nav systems suck (the HD based ones)...I would rather save more money and get the regular "Premium" radio system and go aftermarket with a 7" Pioneer DVD Nav setup (has voice recognition too!)...and while you're there, you can upgrade the system too...with that setup, you'll be able to play video DVD's too...

IMO I'd get everything you want factory installed. Aftermarket are great but finding an installer that will take their time and who specialize with a GS can be difficult. I always worry about the rattles that might come afterwards....that would annoy me.

Cool suggestion. How much is the system alone and what's the approximate cost of installation?

NYC Max, welcome.

Lexus made a handful of Pearl White/Black leather GS 400s I know, I have one.

Thanks guys, I agree, nothing beats finding the car with the combination you desire, thats how it was with my Maxima, its Black on Black and it has every available option from the factory (Except its 5 spd, which is exactly what I wanted) and even all the dealer add ons.

So as of now I'm on a quest for a 99 Crystal White GS400, Black Leather, HID/Yellow fogs, Chrome 17's, Spoiler, Nak or Navi with around 50K miles. Something tells me I might be looking for a while, but I'm actually in a good position to do so.

Another question, the 2001+ differs with the 4.3L +15TQ (But more strict emissions so not much of a difference), different steering wheel, no E-Shift, different tails, different 16's, Levinson/DVD, green tinted headlights? Just curious if I was leaving something out( Slightly different grille?)

Good luck dude. 2 years ago, I only found 2 one in Washington, one in Virginia. I actually found my car by pure LUCK. They stopped making this combo, 98 and 99 are the only years.

98-99 cars were pearl white, I believe Crystal White was added in 00.

I never realized that the GS 400 has a timing belt, I couldnt believe it, I'm kind of sour about it since the car I would purchase might have up to 60K miles, not leaving much till the 90K mile timing belt change.

Hi
I am also in the market for a used GS.
I found a 99 blue GS400 w/Nak with only 20000 miles on it.
Asking is $27900 but I am sure I can get the seller down to around $26500.00
What do you guys think about thsi price??
The thing is I am not a big fan of blue GS's

Yeah, considering the incredible mileage, I'd say the price is more than fair. If he accepts your offer of 26,500 or even $27,000, I'd be all over it if I were you.
