that was dealership price there, man oh man, maybe its time I let go of my Platinum and look in to another car if I can get around 10 for mine and it has about 10k less miles.

(scratches head, lol)

Looks like the lowest price is probably 10.5-11K....they are going by the "blue book" value

Hello C. Tran,

I am responding to your vehicle inquiry that you sent in on our 2000 Lexus. I really appreciate the offer you sent in. Unfortunately I can't make that offer work. Kelly Blue Book Wholesale is almost $11,000. We open to reasonable offers however. Please let me know if I can make anything else work. Are there any other vehicles you are interested in?

Thank You,

Rock Sobeck

Anyone think 10.5k is a resaonable price? Heres the new listing.

Full detail inside and out. 3 month, 3000mi. powertrain warranty, 12 month 12,000 mile wear guarantee(belts, battery, tires etc.)

The nice thing is the platinum lexus lettering because it would go nice with the black wheels I would get. ughh...still undecided on this one.

Seller 2 is shady....and the car was "Fleet, Rental and/or Lease Use" according to autocheck.com report. So I'm a little wary of what the use of the car was.

I read a few reviews about the company, and its kinda shady

For that price I would prefer to get a 430, more than 10k for a 400 i think is to much IMHO. Just take your time and get exactly what you want. It's worth the wait

I emailed the people on the white GS like 3 times and nobody responded. I finally called and the guys said "about 160k miles", so who really knows lol.

Yeah I saw those reviews on the second one. I would steer clear of that guy.

I guess you didn't read my post, i will self quote my self below.. If you don't buy it, I will probably pick it up it since its a fair deal for a good car.

Dude GS430's are not as fun to drive as a GS400.. I have both and i'm still looking for another GS400!! (Ask anyone who has own or even driven both)

The NADA Value on this car is $12350 and they can get this because banks loan up to the NADA price, so they're not ripping or gouging anyone. This car was $52,000 new. Even at $12K this car is a steal since most of GS go over 300K miles.

Last year, one of my friends pick up a 2000 Platinum edition he paid almost NADA or about 3K over market value because it had low mileage rare Black/Blk Platnium GS400. Its worth it.. Remember, these market values from Kelly and Edmunds is an Average, some people pay alot more and some pay lower it depends on the condition of the car and who owned it..

My advice to you, if this is a really well kepted and clean car. I say you should offer them $10,500 max and not a penny more.. IF they're smart they sell it to you if not walk away because this offer this pretty fair (Middle ground between market value and NADA Retail)

If you have all your funds, write them a check for $10,500 in front of them and just let it sit there.. Let them ponder over it.. Trust me no body is going to give them $11 or $12k unless their car had like 50K miles..

Good luck to you..
First time, I self quoted myself LOL, if you want to "READ"..

Plus a Platinum GS400 is a little better than a regular GS400 in a few options like perforated leather which didn't come until '03 in the GS430, Black chrome badging and couple other things.. I work for a big dealership and in most blue books, they don't even have a classification for Platinum model, do you think their going give it away like a regular GS, its a special model so is why its alittle higher price but not unreasonable at all.. (2 cents)

LMAFAO.

I decided to try to get the up to $10,250....

Heres the response i got

Hello C. Tran,

We price our cars to sell, and we feel that $12,488 is an aggressive price. Are you trading in anything?

Thank You,
Rock Sobeck
