OEM Style 18" Wheels for 2GS
Hello,
I searched the forum but didn't quite find what I was looking for. I have a silver 01 GS430 with the OEM 17" chrome 5 spokes.
I have one slightly bent rim and my tires will be soon in need of replacement. I am considering buying a new set of wheels and tires and am looking for a style that is similar to the OEM, although in an 18" diameter. I have looked at the 3GS rims and I don't think that is what I am looking for, at least with the chrome finish.
I have found two potential wheels that seem to resemble the OEM rim: the Sport Edition ST3, and the American Racing Maverick.
I know there was a member who put some 18" ST3s on an LS but does anyone have any experience or recommendations regarding these, or know of any other potential alternative? Or would you suggest keeping the actual OEM rims? I am planning on only keeping the car for another year or so.
I appreciate any input anyone has.

i would personally go with another Lexus OEM 3GS or 2IS wheels... most likely with 3GS cuz it is 18x8 all around.
With OEM, you will be able to use the same lugs and it will fit better because they are hub centric.
if you do not plan to keep it.. why don't you just get 1 rim of the same 17x7. how about the full size spare in the trunk? why not rotate your bent rim as spare and roll on the straight one?

Thanks for the input. The OEM chromes are 17 x 8 however my spare is for some reason a silver one.
I am basically in the position where replacing a rim and buying new tires isn't that more expensive than getting a whole new set.
Still looking for any possible input from people who might have these rims in terms of quality and durability.
Thanks
