Stock navi to stream Netflix via Droid Bionic
My old phone "Droid X" has HDMI out, but was very basic and couldn't do much. So I bought a new phone a couple weeks ago. The new Droid Bionic has an HDMI out for either mirror mode or webtop (basic OS of Ubuntu). I figured I would incorporate my phone to my GS's audio/video setup. I posted my mod on droidforums and droid-life, but some of the peoples' comments were only about "WTF he has a tape deck!". LOL... Anyways, thought I would post some photos and post the links to my thread.
Droidforums and Droid-Life
If anyone in here wants to try on their GS, I am here to help.

awesome!
carpc has evolved to a very sexy point now!
btw, which converter or box are you using to tap into audio and video of the stock nav?
what year is your GS btw?
i have a gen2 nav on my 2001 GS300, rear view camera monitor is dead (or im suspecting that its the problem) so thinking about tapping into the nav screen to use as camera monitor now for backing up
but would like to do audio in too if possible for a cheap price
nav tool only does video and no audio, have to get vaistech to do audio separately which can end up costly after its all said and done
any advice for me?

I am using a wired FM modulator for audio and tvnav2go converter for the navigation rgb to composite for video. Vaistech units gives better quality sound but I opted for the FM modulator, which sounds fine.
I am a little confused. Did you put in an aftermarket rear view camera? I ask because 2GS didn't come factory with one.

There used to be a vender here that sold the conversion unit but not anymore. Instead, the unit I got was from here:

If you search the forums, there should be some instructions on how to install. When I installed my setup, I didn't take any photos to go step by step.

Basically, you have to buy the universal unit and have yourself or stereo shop cut and splice it in. I installed the universal unit in my car before any companies even offered plug in kits.
