That looks awesome!

I was thinking that the silver finish often looks bland and I may have out-grown the chrome look so the brushed look might be the ticket. I'm wondering who did that for you and what was the price?

And those wheels look extremely concave. Other pics I've seen they don't look as concave. It makes me wonder if there are different versions of these wheels...

Some of you guy have been looking to do this so here may be some helpful information regarding the redrilling service.

California Wheel (Campbell/San Jose): $50 per wheel for bare rim, $70/wheel if tires are mounted.

MemoryFab (Union City): $75/wheel

Precision Wheel Works (Sacramento): $125/wheel

WheelFlip (Santa Fe Springs): not sure on price

Also, not 100% sure, but heard that Wheel Techniques in Santa Clara offers the service as well.

If I knew about this 120mm to 114.3mm redrilling services, I probably would have already had these wheels on another car.

Also, the new M5 wheels would probably also look awesome on our 2GS cars!

For the record, bathroom scale test results from this evening (no tires):

19x9: 32lbs

19x10: 33.5lbs

HEAVY! That's pretty damn discouraging.

That is pretty darn heavy. 27-29lbs would be acceptable, but 30lbs+ is getting up there and going to affect performance since it's wheel weight. I asked an ebay vendor what the 95 reps weigh and they said 38lbs for the 19x9

These wheels look sweet, but maybe 18's are a better choice performance wise.

I'm going over some custom adapters from Motortech Sports and needed to input the stud size for the adapters.

Would 12x1.5 be the correct size? Is it any different from 12x1.5b? I did some searching and saw both size listed as the stud size for the wheels and wanted to confirm.

He is probably indicating ship weight, or padding his shipping quote a bit.

I bought these style-95 wheels over the weekend but am really discouraged by the weight. I've heard people say that once they put them on, they really feel a difference (like the car lost 40hp all of a sudden).

Those style 259's above are sweet too, but did you catch their weight? The smaller 20x10 weighs 41lbs, lol. I guess that's what you get when in wheels that are OEM on a heavy SUV. And they don't make the 259 in a 21". You are probably thinking of the 128: http://www.bmwstylewheels.com/bmw/128

I remember when I ran 18x10 BBS RKs which weighed about 21lbs. The car felt so light!

I just have to keep telling myself that this car is not a race car ;-)

Been back and forth about deciding on a tire size, ugh.

With a 1-1.5" lowering (Tanabe springs), rolled fenders, and factory alignment specs, what tire size would you run? I'd like to run the widest 35 series tires I can (like 255 front and 275 rear) but judging from the comments, I don't think that will be possible.

Maybe a better idea is:

front: 235-35-19 or 245-35-19
rear: 255-35-19

? What do you guys think?

Try going 235 front and 255 rear. Not too much stretch with those sizes, still within size spec for most tire manufacturers for the 95's wheel widths. Gives you a little bit of stretch to help minimize fender rubbing. I think 275 is overkill for the gs unless you're running well over stock HP. Larger width = more weight/drag and less mpg.

Continental DWS and NItto Motivo both make those tires sizes with 50k and 60k mile warranties respectively, both are performance all-seasons. Darn good mileage warranties for the tire size.

I'm curious to see what you think going from 18's to these 95's in terms of acceleration and handling, give them a good write-up They will look good, no doubt about that.

So after going through so many paint colors for my style 95's.......


Going to get them powder coated.....only way to strip off the paint that is on it now......plus I will get a nice color.
