Are 2nd gen GS foglights glass or plastic - can we wetsand them?
So my fogs are in need or refinishing or replacement, ive had great results with wetsanding headlights and polishing to new, can we do that with our foglights?

If you cant tell the difference between Glass or Plastic, forget about Modding Anything, BTW i got some magic beans i would like to sell you..
sanding headlights and sanding foglights are different, plastic vs. glass. my buddies have cleaned their foglights (glass) by using some sort of powder but it does involve wetsanding.. you just need the powder to make the lens clear again.
um, our foglights ARE glass. NOT plastic like the headlights...
AS SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE ALREADY SAID, plus had OP bothered to search some keywords like glass foglights he would have found many many threads about it and people trying to open them
I did search and found way too many conflicting answers. Pretty funny how so many people have different answers how ever. Makes you wonder if they really did wetsand their glass lenses or if they really are poly.

Nice... definately will not be wetsanding them now... So guys above who just recently wetsanded them post up some pics. Id like to see the damage
well for me i never personally used the kits, i just thought itll be easier for the op. basically i just take a 3k grit sand paper and slowly work the fogs in left to right motion. after im done and happy with all the removed pits rinse off w water and get the power drill + buffing pad and start using the 3m swirl remover till it clears up. then i put on a layer of wax and i leave it at that until the next wash. on my old clear fogs i sometime spray a light layer of clear coat over it and it fills in the scratches nicely as well and seems to "clear up" the haze.
