did you hear the gas pump stop on its own?? i fill up in jersey near the tunnels all the time at the sunoco/mobil/shell and never had a problem with them as well. they usually fill until it auto stops then they press it once more till it auto stops and theyre done.
if your tank is full. clicks when you try to fill then it could be your fuel sending unit.

The Law is far from dumb. NJ is ranked amongst the least gas station incidents in the US.
And the prices are near the lowest in the country.
Next time I'll ask the clerk to try and do it myself. If it's a repeat, the gauge is inaccurate. I wish someone would have a comment on the topic at hand.

Unless you give them a dollar amount to put in which doesn't fill your tank. I have had my tank filled on many occasions while in Jersey and my needle goes above the "F" mark. They always pump in a little more after the pump first stops dispensing fuel. Could be something mechanical but have them fill it up again and be more visual to see what happens next time.
