I bought a 99 gs300 on Sunday. Everything was going great until I pushed the lock button on the key fob 3 times. I went into church and when I came out I hit the unlock on the fob once, got in the car and no start. I pulled out the key, put it back in and the case broke for the key fob. The fob still locks and unlocks the car, but the key part is busted off. The car wouldn't start, so I had a friend come and jump me. That got it running, but now the security light won't stop blinking and it wont start. I can hear a relay on the drivers side clicking when I put the key to the start position. How can I disable the system? Did I fry something jumping the car? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Your key has a chip in it that allows it to start the car. Did you only get one key with it?

I should have said this before. The car doesn't crank at all, everything else works. Radio, windows, ext. When I turn the key to the crank position I just hear a relay click on the drivers side front. If I hold the key in the crank platoon the radio will dim, that's why I jumped it the first time around. Also I am using the original key, the key part broke from the case. Last night I read on hear if you remove the edition fuse it will disarm the system. I tryed it, no luck. Any suggestions?

if they key broke off the shell you wont be able to start it since it has the chip inside the shell. like someone stated try putting it very close to the key and try cranking again. if you have the leather booklet check inside for a card key. if you have it that should be able to start the engine.
