Yes, it may be below the max normally. Do the 40 pumps and check/add fluid like is printed on top the reservoir. If you just fill to max without pumping then it may overflow out from under the cap once pressurized.
Thanks alot for the help, my next thing will be the ball joints, a buddy of mine recently had his balljoint break and the wheel turned all the way damaging the fender, good thing he was going at low speeds. I hear this is a common issue, so considering this machine has 230,000 miles, I think its overdue for alot of things lol.
