So my dad took my car ...
yuppers,
my old man borrowed my ride cuz his was in the shop. Some genius driver turning right noticed the street he was turning on was closed a bit further down so what does he do ... slam on his breaks. The car behind him was my dad
1998 GS400 - 171 211 KM --> 106 385 miles
installed my Fujitsubo exhaust 3 weeks ago and finished doing ball joints 2 weeks ago.
She was sooooo clean

Wow that sucks, but at least look on the bright side of it. There doesn't seem to be any suspension that was torn up from the wreck, and hey maybe you can ask the insurance company to just cut you a check and you fix it yourself. You could go ahead and do a retrofit for the headlights since your driver side got torn up.
Either way still sucks. Sorry to hear. :/

damm, thats a clean car too.. man...
hopefully they let u keep it as clean title, and they just cut you a check to fix it.
from the pictures it does not seem like a major hit, looks like needs fender and headlight with sum TLC. Have you look and check that it has hit the body/frame? If not i say is not that major even tho it did get hit. 100% fixable.

I was hoping to read "....and had tint/wheels/etc installed for me!!!" but already had an idea what I was in for. Sorry to see the damage.
Really the worst part of issues like this , assuming everyone was OK, is the time and effort needed to correct them. Room for upgrades but at the cost of the car being down is not always the funnest way to go about it. I hope you have full coverage and I hope you an extra car or rental coverage.

With all that replacement, its a few G's in parts... let alone labour. Considering these go for around 5-6k its not worth it.

but the fender support (don't know the name - the structural part running from the door all the way to the front is pushed in ) therefore requires a new one. (cut and weld)
not to add the rad got pushed in, rad support is a goner, fuse box pushed, wires, AC hoses and more I have a trouble seeing since I will have to start to disassemble the car to see.
The shop by my place quoted me a minimum of 5000$ ( that is 2-3K of labor/paint + 2k if we can buy a full front clip of a GS400.)

ouch
hope your dad is alright though
doesnt look like the damage is too bad
getting the headlamp washer to replace the broken one could be tough if you want to fix it yourself
US market doesnt have that
good luck
