DYI - ghetto, $10 chrome grille..
Here I present to you my masterpiece. Many have done this before (so there's no claim to fame), but honestly, I think the car looks much classier with the mod, rather than without it. I can always peel it off if I get sick of it, as it's not perm.
I could have done a better job - the key is the angle of cut at the top and bottom of each piece. You need to take your time with it, and have the right tools. At least 3-4 fresh sharp blades (makes life much easier).
And, so, here goes..
Let me know what you think!

thats interesting... not my cup of tea either but pretty clever being that its reversible vs. the DIY chrome paint thinner trick. just curious how its gonna hold up after a few washes and rain since the top and bottom of the grill has a groove that sits further out than the center of the grill.
either way u did a good job on it

Why would you even attempt this? I dont know man,,,, I think some silver spray paint might even look better. But whatever , its your car. Might as well go hard and finish off the hood, fenders, all four doors, trunk, rocker panels, around the sunroof, and the area of your front bumper in between the fog-lights while youre at it.

I think it looks great, if not better than the paint thinner version. A lot of ls400 owners go this route because they don't have chrome underneath and it looks pretty good and seems to hold up. Of course you can get a tt grill and peal and sick an emblem on that since it is so much 'classier'.

It's the mod I associated those words with, not the car. I chose my words carefully. You're totally off-base ripping on the title, yet you commented ZERO on on the mod itself. The response was useless. Besides, I've seen plenty of Lexus cars in ghettos.
