Wow props to you for keeping your car for so long . It still looks great. I couldn't do it though. I haven't had a car for more than 4 years and it only takes 2 before the urge to sell it comes along.

nice pics! maybe you should upgrade to a 3GS or 4GS and repeat the modding process all over again?

To be honest, I was never a fan of the 3GS. I did not hate it, but I did not like it enough to get one. That's just me. By the looks of the members here, there are plenty of fans of the 3GS who bought it. The 4GS is making me think. I am not going to get the 1st model year, so I have a few years to ponder that decision.

Car looks ageless if such thing is possible. What products did you use to detail it? Hows the fit on the rear bumper I've been thinking of getting one myself but didn't want to buy something that a bodyshop would have to modify to give a perfect fit.

This is part of the dilemma. Enjoy it for what it is and save up for the next car; or dump more into this one.

I used to be a Zaino freak but I just don't have the time now. I am lucky if I wash the car every couple of weeks. (This is why I took this opportunity to take some pics.) I don't put a lot of miles on it so it does not get caked with stuff.

To clean, I usually spray down the car and spot treat any debris (bugs, water/mud, ...). Then I use Optimum No Rinse to wash. I clay and wax every 3-6 months with Prima Epic and touch up in between with Prima Hydro. Microfiber towels, of course. I also try take it to a detailer every few years to get some paint correction. I have not found a great and reasonably priced detailer near me so I have not gone for awhile. The ones I've used and like (Exclusive Auto Detail and ShowCarDetailing (not cheap but good)) are over an hour away.

Although it looks great in pics (and for the most part in person), if you get really close, you will see some "swirls" here and there. I used to be really **** about this stuff but as I got older, it became less and less priority, especially since it is a DD and not a show car.

Very, very nice! Especially awesome that you had it since the beginning. My 98 I only got a few weeks ago.

Oh yeah, I too still think the 2GS is a great looking car, even after all these years.

Looks awesome, I'm not a fan of that color, but the way you're mods made me change my mind.
Looks Killer. I like these wheels better too

Thanks. Any plans for your new toy?

It is kind of a love or indifferent color. Some don't care for it and some just loves it. I've had people ask whether or not it is a custom color since there does not seem to be that many out there.

I would not go that far but thanks for the compliment.
